5. John Morrison
August 30, 2007 was a black day for wrestling, when the news came to light that the United States government was investigating an illegal pharmacy that provided, among other clients, several fighters.
The incident known as the “Signature Pharmacy Scandal” led to the suspension of many wrestlers from the company. One of them was “The Guru Of Greatness” John Morrison. It was considered his first offence and led to him being suspended for 30 days.
The suspension significantly damaged Morrison’s career as he was being pushed as the face of ECW at that time. Morrison was the ECW Champion at that time and was forced to drop the Title to CM Punk after his suspension came into effect.
4. Mike Chioda
Although he isn’t a wrestler, he still is a very significant part of the WWE. Mike Chioda is one of the most experienced referees in the company, having officiated some of the biggest matches in the company’s history.
However, he too does not have an impeccable career like many. Chioda was suspended by the company on August 15, 2011 for 30 days due to him failing a drug test.
Chioda’s suspension showed that no one was exempted from the rules of WWE. Very few people remember this due to a referee not playing an important part of the show.
