6. Ruby Riott
Ruby Riott has been out of action for a long time now. She was last seen in a ring against Dana Brooke at a taping of WWE Main Event in April of 2019. The former Riott Squad leader suffered double shoulder injuries and underwent surgery for both of them.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE has Riott listed for a return this month. Her return will most likely take place at the Royal Rumble as WWE doesn’t have any storyline where they can insert her at the moment.
Riott wasn’t a part of the Draft back in October last year, so it will be interesting to see where she ends up upon her return. Moreover, how WWE will use her is also unpredictable, now that The Riott Squad has disbanded.
5. Cain Velasquez
Cain Velasquez suffered a loss at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel 2019 in a pretty short encounter between the two men.
Since then, Velasquez hasn’t been seen on WWE programming. His second appearance was a non-televised one where he competed in a Tag Team match alongside Humberto Carrillo at a house show in Mexico.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion’s next appearance is rumored to be at the Royal Rumble this month and he’s expected to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Velasquez could enter the match to go up against “The Beast” once again, as Lesnar will be the #1 entrant in the match.
In addition, he would get to work with different wrestlers in the match which would help him in improving his wrestling skills.
