‘Woman’ was originally appearing in Wrestling Magazines like ‘Wrestling All Stars’ where she appeared in the infamous occasional “Apartment Wrestling” features.
In 1984 she was convinced by Kevin Sullivan to get into the Professional Wrestling business and she joined him in CWF Championship Wrestling from Florida, where she became his valet and a member of Sullivan’s (kayfabe) satanist faction.
The 2 got married in 1985, after Nancy divorced her previous husband Jim Daus.
Both stayed together in real life, even when they weren’t shown together on TV, during their time in WCW World Championship Wrestling and ECW Eastern/Extreme Championship Wrestling.
During the mid-90s when both were back working for WCW, ‘Woman’ Nancy Sullivan had an extramarital affair with Four Horsemen Member “The Crippler” Chris Benoit.
Kevin Sullivan and Woman divorced in 1997 and she married Benoit soon thereafter.
