5 Mistakes WWF Made During The New Generation Era

5 Mistakes WWF Made During The New Generation Era

1. Making The Macho Man A Commentator

That’s no doubt the biggest mistake they could make during that era.

Everybody hated it, the fans and Savage himself, which is why he waited till his World Wrestling Federation contract was up, didn’t renew it and just made the jump to Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling.

Had he actually been used right, he would probably have stayed with the WWF.

Blame Vince McMahon for this … but it also proves that a forced Youth movement without any major Veterans still being around, wouldn’t ever work at all.

Thank god they still had a few major Stars left, so they could build new stars around them, while in 2010-2015 WWE is experiencing that exact problem with no more major Veterans on the Full Time Roster, except for Big Show, Mark Henry and Kane, who all got jobbed out for many years and can’t be taken seriously by anyone anymore.

Macho Man Randy Savage as a commentator in WWF in 1993

Randy Savage wasn’t a bad announcer at all, he was actually doing alright, but just heavily underused, cause when he jumped to WCW, Savage proved that he could still perform great matches in the ring.

In WCW “The Macho Man” added to the success they had, when beating the WWF in the weekly ratings for 84 weeks in a row.
