3. Ric Flair tried to get Steve Austin a push
One of the few people within the business who did notice Steve Austin’s talent early on, was The Nature Boy himself, Ric Flair.
Flair ended up speaking up for Steve Austin to WCW Management quite a few times, suggesting that he deserves a bigger push and should be used in a better way than what they did with him at that time.
But it didn’t exactly help at all, and Austin was fired from his WCW Contract later that year and went to ECW and later to the WWF.
