The first edition of Friday Night SmackDown after the 2019 Draft will take place tonight at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. With Crown Jewel quickly approaching, WWE will be focusing on its build-up tonight.
Moreover, we can also expect some changes tonight with Bruce Prichard taking over the show as the Executive Director.
The blue brand got over 20 superstars in the Draft including some big names like Roman Reigns, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks and Brock Lesnar. The Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Championship were also retained by the blue brand.
We could see some significant build-up towards Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez and Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury tonight. The new SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will also make her next move on tonight’s show. In addition, The Fiend may also send a message to Universal Champion Seth Rollins for burning down the Firefly Fun House this past Monday on RAW.
In this article, let’s take a look at 6 things that could happen on SmackDown tonight.
6. Braun Strowman Sends A Message To Tyson Fury
After their face-off on SmackDown’s premiere on FOX, Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman once again met on RAW a week ago. However, things did not go well as the two big men got physical with things ending in a brawl. Later that week, WWE announced in their press conference in Las Vegas that Fury and Strowman will be going head-to-head in a match at Crown Jewel this month.
The Gypsy King came to RAW this past Monday to make things official with Strowman. Strowman broke a table to send a message to Fury while Fury mocked him by breaking a pen.
The Monster Among Men was drafted to the blue brand last week by FOX, so we can expect him to cause some destruction there. He may beat down several superstars to show Fury that he’s prepared to defeat him at Crown Jewel.
