3. CM Punk vs. Triple H – WrestleMania 30
The plan last year was to do a match between “The Best in the World” CM Punk vs. “The King of Kings” Triple H at WrestleMania 30.
However, CM Punk wasn’t happy to face The Game on the grandest stage of them all.
CM Punk quit his job after the Royal Rumble PPV in 2014 and this led to WWE officials changing the script for WrestleMania 30. Triple H was then put in a match with Daniel Bryan with the winner entering the WWE World Title main event match between Randy Orton & Batista, making it a Triple Threat match.
CM Punk faced Triple H before at Night of Champions PPV in 2011 and Triple H “buried” Punk in that match by defeating him (This was during the Summer of Punk angle and Punk was among the top guys in WWE). But he was supposed to go over Triple H at WrestleMania 30.
