Carlito Turns Down WWE Return Offer Due To Low Money

As we reported before, former WWE Creative team members Court Bauer & Konnan noted that former Intercontinental & United States Champion Carlito might be on his way back to WWE.

However, that might not happen as Carlito has declined the return offer from WWE. Carlito turned down the offer because the money offered was very less. WWE wanted him to work with Los Matadores on WWE programming.

For those who don’t know, Carlito is the brother of Diego and the cousin of Fernando. As we have noted before, WWE has been looking for top Hispanic stars after the departure of Alberto Del Rio & Rey Mysterio. Lack of top hispanic stars in WWE has forced WWE to book Undertaker for the Mexico tour in October. Carlito was fired from WWE back in 2010 for violating the wellness policy and refusing to go to rehab. Carlito held 5 titles during his WWE career: Intercontinental Title, United States Title, World Tag Team Title, WWE Tag Team Title, WWE Unified Tag Team Title.

Carlito was last seen on WWE TV at the 2014 Hall of Fame where his father Carlos Colon was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame (Other inductees of the 2014 class were: Ultimate Warrior, Jake Roberts, Lita, Paul Bearer, Razor Ramon). Carlito currently wrestles in the indy circuit and his father’s WWC promotion where is a 15 time WWC Universal Heavyweight Champion, former WWC Puerto Rico Heavyweight Champion, and a 2 time WWC World Tag Team Champion.
