Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring Cody Rhodes and Vince McMahon.

• After today’s RAW went off the air, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes faced off against Dominik Mysterio in a dark match. This encounter resulted in Rhodes’ 18th consecutive victory over Mysterio in dark matches, extending his dominant streak over The Judgment Day member.

After the match, Rhodes engaged with the enthusiastic Brussels crowd, emphasizing the power of their voices. He told the audience that the possibility of a premium live event in Belgium rested solely on their demand. “It’s all on you,” Rhodes stated, highlighting the significant role fan support plays in WWE’s event planning.

Meanwhile, Dominik Mysterio’s attempts to expand The Judgment Day faced another setback. During RAW, Mysterio pitched the idea of recruiting Penta to the faction. However, Finn Balor swiftly dismissed the suggestion, leaving Mysterio’s recruitment efforts unsuccessful.

Speaking of Vince, here’s the latest update regarding his lawsuit:

Janel Grant has filed a response opposing efforts by Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis to move her amended lawsuit to arbitration, arguing that the case should proceed in court. Her attorneys assert that her amended complaint provides more details on the abuse she suffered, the coercive environment within WWE, and McMahon’s SEC settlement, which they claim is central to the case.

They argue McMahon’s claims of being “prejudiced” are baseless, noting his reputational harm was no worse than when the lawsuit was first filed. They also reject the notion that the amendments were delayed, pointing out that the case was stayed due to a federal investigation, which McMahon was aware of. Grant’s legal team further accuses the defendants of trying to exploit the passing of Judge Meyer for litigation advantage.

Regarding allegations against Dr. Colker and Peak Wellness, they argue his role is relevant, as he treated Grant under McMahon’s direction and is withholding medical records. The court will now decide whether the case will proceed in court or move to arbitration.
