• Complete Results From Tonight’s SmackDown

Below are the results from tonight’s go-home edition of SmackDown for this Sunday’s WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view:

– SmackDown kicked off with Jey Uso introducing Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Roman said he has had 39 singles World Title matches in WWE and Cesaro hasn’t even had 1.

Roman said he’s so much more than a wrestler and that WWE & FOX wouldn’t want Cesaro as the face of the company.

Jimmy Uso came out and said he doesn’t think Roman can defeat Cesaro. Jimmy said he and Jey can be The Tribal Chiefs too if they win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship and Roman loses the Universal Championship. Roman then got angry and said that’s not how it works.

Roman then asked Jimmy to beat Cesaro to show he can be the man around here. Jimmy then called out Cesaro. Cesaro came out and accepted his challenge for tonight’s main event.

– Tamina Snuka & Natalya def. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship (After the match, Natalya & Tamina got interviewed in the ring and Natalya said it’s never too late for anyone and she’s proud of Tamina. Tamina then got emotional and thanked the fans for the support. The pyro then went off and they celebrated their win and hugged)

– Apollo Crews gave Commander Azeez the Nigerian medal of honor for helping him win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37. Big E, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens crashed the ceremony and a brawl broke out.

– Rey Mysterio def. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Dolph Ziggler (After the match, in a backstage segment, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode told Dominik Mysterio that he doesn’t belong here and that he’s just a kid. Dominik said Ziggler & Roode can call him whatever name they want, but after Sunday, they will have to call him Baby Champ)

– SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair said Bayley is jealous of her because at WrestleMania 37, Bayley was getting thrown down the ramp by The Bella Twins, while she was in the main event. Bayley said she’s already been down the path Bianca is currently on, and it won’t end well.

– King Corbin def. Shinsuke Nakamura (Nakamura laid out Corbin with a Kinshasa after the match and stole his King Of The Ring crown)

– Adam Pearce announced Apollo Crews (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Big E in a Fatal-4-Way Match for the Intercontinental Championship on next week’s SmackDown.

– Another vignette for Aleister Black aired.

– Cesaro def. Jimmy Uso via DQ after Roman Reigns attacked Cesaro (After the match, Reigns was explaining to Jimmy that not everything is about him and Cesaro attacked Jey Uso in the ring. Reigns then made the save for Jey and ordered Jimmy to enter the ring and help. Jimmy tired to help but Cesaro laid him out. Cesaro then hit Jey with a Neutralizer and said this is going to be Roman this Sunday. Cesaro then hit Jey with another Neutralizer to end the show)

On this day in 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF RAW IS WAR’.
