2. Brock Lesnar Temporarily Suspended By Nevada State Athletic Commission
Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar was temporarily suspended this morning by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for failing both out-of-competition & in-competition UFC 200 drug tests.
An estrogen blocker, which is usually taken after a cycle of steroids, was found in Lesnar’s system. Below is what Sherdog.com posted regarding this:
“Lesnar will receive a formal hearing a later date and faces a potential two-year suspension from USAD and the NAC as well as fines. The WWE star earned a disclosed purse of $2.5 million at UFC 200.”
Lesnar still hopes that he would return to UFC again one day and said the following during an interview with TMZ Sports:
“To my fans that watch me in the octagon, I thank them for their support. This has been a bumpy road. I’m gonna get through this alright. And there will be a day, maybe, that they’ll see me back in the octagon.”
It should be noted that this suspension won’t affect Lesnar’s WWE appearances (but it looks like he’s done for the rest of 2016).
