As we noted before, Rey Mysterio Jr. & Xtreme Tiger took on the team of Hijo Del Perro Aguayo & Manik on March 20 in Tijuana, Baja California.
Hijo Del Perro Aguayo got injured when Rey Mysterio Jr. delivered a vicious dropkick. After this move, Aguayo was attended by the EMTs & was taken to a local hospital but was pronounced dead in the early hours of March 21.
According to reports, the cause of death of AAA wrestler El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo was a stroke that was caused by cervical spine damage.
The Associated Press is reporting the death is being investigated as a possible manslaughter & here’s what Hijo Del Santo had to say about this incident:
“It makes me very sad because he was a professional colleague and I have great affection for his father. I think the fans in Japan, the U.S. and Mexico of course, where he was very popular, must be in mourning, especially because of his youth. He had much ahead of him.”
