• Former Tag Team Champions Turned Down WWE’s Royal Rumble Return Offer
As evident from the list of participants in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, WWE contacted a lot of former WWE stars for this upcoming match.
According to Fightful Select, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics were given an offer to return for the Royal Rumble, but they turned it down.
Cassie Lee (fka Peyton Royce in WWE) and Jessica McKay (fka Billie Kay in WWE) are currently the Knockouts Tag Team Champions in IMPACT Wrestling. They are now known as The IInsipration.
No word yet on why they turned down this offer. IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Mickie James was also given this offer and she accepted.
Not only will Mickie compete in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, but she will also bring her IMPACT Title with her on WWE programming.
