WWE made budget cuts by releasing a number of talents and backstage employees last week.

The company is taking strict measures to ensure they’re on track to hit the estimated revenue.

The Wrestling Observer noted that the future of NXT UK could be in jeopardy due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic:

“Nobody right now knows the status of that brand. With WWE downsizing, there are questions about a money-losing brand that was originally put into operation to combat the long-since-defunct ITV World of Sports promotion.”

WWE can’t run shows in the UK currently, and the travelling for the brand’s wrestlers is very difficult at the moment.
