Kevin Owens Returns On RAW, Main Event Set

Below are the complete results from tonight’s WWE RAW:

– Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Sami Zayn kicked off tonight’s RAW. The Judgment Day interrupted and surrounded Sami. Sami said he didn’t come alone. Kevin Owens then returned to WWE TV from injury and a brawl broke out.

Owens proposed they face off in a Tag Team Match in the main event. WWE then announced that Owens & Zayn will face 2 members of The Judgment Day in a non-title match.

– The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) def. Drew McIntyre & Matt Riddle

The Viking Raiders attacked McIntyre behind the referee’s back and Kingston pinned Riddle to pick up the win.

Erik & Ivar attacked The New Day after the match too. McIntyre joined the brawl and laid out The Viking Raiders.

– Chad Gable def. Gunther (c) via count-out in their Intercontinental Championship match, Gunther retains the Title

Michael Cole noted on commentary that Gable has become the first man to beat Gunther in a singles match on the WWE main roster.

– Cody Rhodes was interviewed by Byron Saxton. Cody took a shot at JD McDonagh by saying the following:

“Head so big on that little body, he’s looking like a Funko Pop.”

Cody then said Judgment Day will fall apart tonight.

– Shinsuke Nakamura revealed what he whispered in World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ ear last week, which concerned Rollins a lot.

Nakamura said he knows about Rollins’ broken back and that Rollins is dealing with a lot of injuries. Nakamura told Rollins to watch his back.

WWE then confirmed Rollins vs. Nakamura for the World Title at Payback.

– Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley def. Candice LeRae

Raquel Rodriguez came out on a crutch after the match. Raquel then revealed that she doesn’t need a crutch anymore and attacked Rhea. A brawl broke out between them. Raquel laid her out.

Rodriguez then revealed that she has been cleared to compete and she has confirmed with Adam Pearce that she’s going to face Rhea for the Women’s World Title at Payback on September 2nd.

– Tommaso Ciampa said he knows Chad Gable is a workhorse, but he also wants the Intercontinental Championship, and that he’s here to be The Man.

– The Miz revealed that he will face Akira Tozawa tonight. Miz said Tozawa is a former 24/7 Champion and it’s sad that title is retired now, because it would’ve been perfect for LA Knight.

Tozawa kept saying ‘Yeah!’ and it pi$$ed off Miz. This leads to a match and LA Knight came out during the match. LA joined commentary.

– Akira Tozawa def. The Miz

After the match, Miz argued with the referee and LA Knight laid him out with the BFT.

– Drew McIntyre told Matt Riddle that their tag team won’t work, but The New Day told them to give it a shot.

– Rhea Ripley is not happy with Damian Priest for not settling things with Finn Balor.

– Trish Stratus said Becky Lynch isn’t going to survive the Steel Cage match against her at Payback. Becky said she’s going to face Zoey Stark in a Falls Count Anywhere match on next week’s RAW.

– WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green & Piper Niven def. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

– World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins revealed that he has 2 fractures in his lumbar spine and he has been dealing with it for 4 years, and it doesn’t get better and keeps getting worse.

– Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest) def. Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn via DQ

JD McDonagh showed up and threw the MITB briefcase towards Finn, but Owens caught it and hit Finn in the head with it to cause the disqualification.

Sami then took out JD. Dominik Mysterio then attacked Sami and The Judgment Day did a 3 on 2 attack on Kevin & Sami, which led to Cody Rhodes making the save, leading to a 6 man tag team match.

– Cody Rhodes and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn def. Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest & NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio)

Owens pinned Dirty Dom to pick up the win. Rhea Ripley bodyslammed Owens on the outside during the match.
