On a recent edition of his weekly ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast, Kurt did a watch-along of the October 31st 2002 Halloween episode of ‘WWE SmackDown!’ and ended up speaking very highly about former ECW/WWF Superstar Yoshihiro Tajiri.

Here’s what our Olympic Hero had to say about The Japanese Buzzsaw:

“Most underrated wrestler of all time. Okay. This kid oozes charisma, okay? He didn’t speak English, but you could understand him. And you knew by his face was what he meant.

He was just this kid. This is why he did a lot of stuff, like the Halloween party. He was a character at the party because they knew that he could make people laugh. That’s how Tajiri is.

He’s very entertaining. WWE brought the entertainment out of him. Yeah. As far as his wrestling, he was incredible in the ring. I mean, his Japanese style was amazing, but his charisma was unbelievable.”

After several WWF TV appearances as a member of the Federation’s Light Heavyweight Division in 1997, Tajiri joined Paul Heyman’s Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1998 and wrestled there until the company closed its doors in early 2001.

The World Wrestling Federation hired him almost right away and he worked for them (later renamed WWE) until December 2005, but later returned to be a part of their new Cruiserweight Division in 2016 & 2017.
