The 2-Time Universal Champion has made several appearances in the WWE over the past few years. He returned at Super ShowDown last year to face The Undertaker, and then went on to defeat Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam in Canada.
The WCW Legend returned once again after this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view and demanded a rematch for the Universal Championship, which he lost at WrestleMania 33 three years ago. Goldberg collided with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown last month and dethroned him to become the new champion.
With Goldberg winning the Universal Title, his appearance at this year’s WrestleMania is confirmed. He’s set to defend his Title against “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns.
WrestleMania 36 will feature Goldberg’s first match at WrestleMania in three years. He missed last year’s event and appeared as a part of the Hall of Fame class back in 2018.
