• Major Spoiler For Next Week’s SmackDown (Taped Tonight)
After tonight’s episode of SmackDown went off the air, WWE taped next week’s episode, because the WWE crew will be in Saudi Arabia next Friday.
During this taping, Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Zayn is a 3-time Intercontinental Champion now.
This Title match was originally scheduled for the WWE Day 1 premium live event, but got nixed due to Nakamura’s hand injury.
Nakamura won the Title on the August 13, 2021 episode of SmackDown. His Title run was heavily criticized by the fans, as he defended the Title very less.

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on February 11, 1996, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW SuperBrawl VI’ LIVE on PPV from the Bayfront Arena in St. Petersburg, Florida.
This PPV is mostly remembered for Miss Elizabeth turning heel on Randy Savage, as well as Brian Pillman breaking kayfabe in his final WCW match by telling his opponent Kevin Sullivan “I respect you, bookerman!”.
