Texas Red was Mark Calaway’s first official gimmick, a masked Character that he primarily used in Fritz Von Erich’s WCCW World Class Championship Wrestling promotion.
He debuted there in 1984, one year after graduating from High School, against the late great Bruiser Brody in a losing effort.
