• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WCW Veteran Sgt. Craig “Pitbull” Pittman celebrates his 61st birthday today.

Sgt. Craig Pittman is most famous for his time in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, where he wrestled from 1994 until 1997.

During his WCW days, he wrestled famous stars like Diamond Dallas Page, Jim Duggan, Chris Jericho, The Giant, Johnny B. Badd, Cobra, The Barbarian, Scott Norton, … and many others.

In 1998, the Pitbull wrestled NWA World Heavyweight Champion Dan Severn on the indies, but failed to win the title.

As we noted last night, Brad Shepard reported the following regarding former WCW World Heavyweight Champion “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner:

“According to a source, wrestling legend Scott Steiner was rushed to the hospital and unfortunately I’m told the situation appears to be very serious.

I’m told Scott Steiner collapsed in the Impact Wrestling locker room, after being part of the show earlier.”

Brad then gave an update that Steiner is stable:

“Update: A source indicated Scott Steiner is now stable and expected to recover from what was a legitimate life and death situation.

I’m told he stopped breathing at one point and they had to shock his heart. Credit to a quick response by on location medical personnel.”

ECW Legend Tommy Dreamer tweeted the following regarding this:

According to PWInsider, Steiner is set to undergo heart surgery:

“Scott Steiner will be undergoing a heart procedure today, PWInsider has been told.

Steiner remains hospitalized in stable condition in Atlanta after collapsing backstage during an Impact taping.”
