A lot of Internet marks falsely give the Attitude Era Credit for having the best drawing Wrestling TV episode ever in 1999, which in reality was only the best drawing Monday Night RAW event in history, but not the best drawing Wrestling Event. The biggest TV audience (drawing TV Ratings) OF ALL TIME for a Professional Wrestling Show, was that very night in 1988, when 33 MILLION (!!!!) people tuned in to watch the Hogan / Andrè rematch from WrestleMania 3, on Free TV!
That counted as a 15.2 Nielsen rating, a huge record for American televised wrestling, that still stands today. And with the shape the business is in these days, and Television losing viewers to the Internet, i think it’s safe to say, that this record will never ever be broken.
