• Petr Yen Comments On Losing The UFC Bantamweight Title Via DQ Due To An Illegal Strike At UFC 259

At tonight’s UFC 259 pay-per-view, UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan delivered an illegal knee strike to Aljamain Sterling’s head.

Aljamain refused to take the Title after the fight and dropped it in the Octagon after UFC President Dana White gave it to him. His team later picked it up.

In the post-fight press conference, Dana White said that Aljamain was taken to the Hospital and he’s fine.

Petr Yan tweeted the following regarding this situation:

“I apologize and wish speedy recovery to Aljamain Sterling. I didn’t mean to throw an illegal strike, I just made a big mistake and paid for it.”

Both fighters want a rematch after what happened.
