• “Roman Reigns was the son Dusty Rhodes always wanted” – Paul Heyman To Cody Rhodes On RAW
Cody Rhodes came out to the ring on tonight’s RAW and said it’s starting to look like his WrestleMania 39 opponent might end up being Sami Zayn.
Paul Heyman then came out. Cody said his family went broke in 2000. His father, Dusty Rhodes, was doing car commercials so his car wasn’t taken away. Heyman then called Dusty and paid him for working in ECW.
Heyman got emotional and said this isn’t about him or Dusty – this is about Cody. Heyman said it’s no easy task to defeat the greatest champion of all time – Roman Reigns.
Paul then reminded everyone that Dusty trained & prepped Roman, but not his son Cody.
Heyman said Dusty told him the following in their last conversation:
“You, Cody, were his favorite son. But Roman Reigns was the son he always wanted.”
Cody said Heyman just made it personal and his boy Roman is going to pay for it, when he takes the Titles personally at WrestleMania 39.
