2. Alberto Del Rio
On January 30, 2011 the biggest Royal Rumble of all time happened, when the Rumble match was changed from 30 to 40 entrants.
It would end up being the only Royal Rumble with 40 men as they went back to the regular 30 men Rumble matches the next year.
After entering with #38, Alberto Del Rio last eliminated Santino Marella to win the match, thus earned the right to challenge one of the 2 World Champions at WrestleMania.
Alberto chose Edge, whom he challenged for the World Heavyweight Championship in the opener of WrestleMania XXVII, but Del Rio lost and failed to win the belt that night.
