8. WWE Universal Championship Match Set For SummerSlam 2016, SmackDown Superstars Wrestle After Raw Goes Off The Air
Stephanie McMahon & WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley announced on Raw that they are introducing the WWE Universal Championship as the top Championship belt for WWE Monday Night Raw. The 1st ever WWE Universal Champion will be crowned at SummerSlam 2016.
Stephanie McMahon added Seth Rollins to that Title match at SummerSlam 2016 as he was the #1 Draft pick. Two Fatal 4 way matches were announced and the winners of those matches faced off in the main event and the winner goes on to SummerSlam 2016 to face Rollins for the Title. Below are the results of those 3 matches:
– Finn Balor def. United States Champion Rusev, Cesaro & Kevin Owens
– Roman Reigns def. Chris Jericho, Sheamus & Sami Zayn

Finn Balor & Seth Rollins will now battle at SummerSlam 2016 for the WWE Universal Championship.
After Raw went off the air, SmackDown Superstars became a part of the dark main event. John Cena & WWE Champion Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins & AJ Styles when Ambrose pinned Rollins after hitting Dirty Deeds.
7. Stone Cold’s Next WWE Network Podcast Guest Announced, Reason Behind Sasha Banks Capturing The WWE Women’s Championship on Raw
WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin’s podcast will return to the WWE Network on August 8th after Raw goes off the air. His guest will be the current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose.
As we saw on Raw, Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte to win the WWE Women’s Championship. The original plan was for Sasha to capture the Title at SummerSlam 2016 but officials wanted to make the first Raw of the new Brand Extension era special, so they decided to put the Title on “The Boss” on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
