• “That son of a b*tch, he’s gonna k*ll me!” – Hulk Hogan Was Afraid Of WWF Legend After A Drinking Incident

Hulk Hogan vs. André The Giant was one of the biggest matches in pro-wrestling history, if not THE biggest.

Former World Wrestling Federation Jobber Mario Mancini was recently interviewed on an episode of the Cheap Heat Productions podcast.

He told a story about André The Giant drinking heavily backstage, even for The Giant’s standards which were famously far off from pretty much anyone else’s alcohol-intake-limits, which resulted in ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan believing that André was going to kill him.

Here’s what Mancini said about the incident:

“Before [Hulk Hogan] entered the actual dressing room, he was screaming down the hallway, ‘He’s gonna kill me, that son of a b*tch, he’s gonna kill me! He’s gonna kill me!’.

Vince (McMahon) went running up to him, ‘Shut up, shut up’. ‘He’s drunk in there, he’s drunk. He’s gonna kill me! He’s gonna kill me!’ Hogan was very concerned that Andre was really gonna kill him.”

The Hulkster eventually ended up bodyslamming The Giant, as André did the job for him in the main event of WrestleMania III and the rest is history.

Mario Mancini is best remembered for being a jobber on all the weekly syndicated & cable WWF TV shows between 1984 and 1991.
