Did anyone see that coming in 2003?

Curt Hennig had just returned to the World Wrestling Federation a year earlier, using his world famous ‘Mr. Perfect’ Gimmick, but got fired a few months later after the infamous Plane Ride From Hell.

So without a WWE Contract, Mr.Perfect joined a new up and coming Promotion, called NWA-TNA Total Nonstop Action, at that point run by Promoters Jeff Jarrett & Jerry Jarrett.

In Curt Hennig’s last major feud, he challenged the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett for the Championship in a losing effort.

In February 2003, one month after leaving NWA-TNA, Curt Hennig was found dead in his Hotel Room at age 44, as the result of a cocaine overdosed.

After all he was absolutely perfect on TV, but not all that perfect in his private Life, reffering to his cocaine abuse.
