2. Wade Barrett Reportedly Negotiating A New Contract With WWE
As seen on last week’s NXT, Wade Barrett appeared on WWE TV for the first time in 4 years. He called the action with Vic Joseph from the commentary desk.
He’s also set to call tonight’s “Super Tuesday” edition of NXT. As we noted before, his bio has been added back to WWE’s website.
PWInsider is now reporting that the former Intercontinental Champion is negotiating a contract with WWE for a full-time job as a commentator.
It was noted that the NXT appearances are a “feeling out” process to see if Barrett and WWE will be interested in working together in the near future. The role would only be as a commentator, and not a performer.
Another thing that was noted was that Barrett is expected to be a commentator for NXT UK, which will return on September 17th.
