7. Kurt Angle To Become The General Manager of Raw After WrestleMania 33?
There’s a rumor going on that WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 headliner Kurt Angle might replace Mick Foley as the General Manager of Raw after WrestleMania 33. Angle noted that when he signed the deal with WWE, there were no talks of an in-ring return.
While the in-ring return of Angle in WWE would eventually happen (as he’s still wrestling on the indies), it might happen through the storylines of being a General Manager.
Speaking of Angle, current Raw General Manager Mick Foley noted on The Ross Report podcast that he would like to see Brock Lesnar be Angle’s final opponent:
“There’s an aura around Brock. He definitely has an aura, even among the boys. And I think a lot of people knock the part-time aspect, but, man, Paul Heyman said it’s the same reason you don’t celebrate Christmas every day.
It’s too important. You don’t get Brock Lesnar all the time. I’d love to see that match and I think it would be a great match and a fitting exit for Kurt if that’s the way he chooses to go out.”
