After some horrible gimmicks like Master Blaster Steel, Oz, and Vinnie Vegas, Kevin Nash got the call from the World Wrestling Federation, that Shawn Michaels saw him on WCW TV and wanted him as his bodyguard.
Vince McMahon agreed and offered Kevin a contract, but Nash had to get out of his WCW contract first, so he told WCW management that being a Professional Wrestler just doesn’t work out for him and he wants to get out of this sport.
They let him out of the contract and one can only imagine their faces when they saw him appearing on WWF Monday Night RAW the very next week.
Diesel became Shawn Michaels’ bodyguard, a role that he would play more than one and a half years until the duo broke up at Survivor Series 1994.
