8. Headlining the 1st ever WrestleMania
After “The War to Settle the Score” main event between Hulk Hogan & Roddy Piper ended in a DQ, this lead to a match at the first ever WrestleMania.
The main event at the first ever WrestleMania saw Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff face the team of Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. Paul Orndorff was pinned by Hogan when Piper’s bodyguard “Cowboy” Bob Orton interfered and mistakenly struck Orndorff instead of Hogan with his trademark “injured” arm covered in a cast.
WrestleMania 1 ended up being a success. If things would’ve gone the other way, WWF would have gone out of business.
