15 Wrestlers Who Retired Way Too Soon

11. Christopher Nowinski

When the WWF turned into the WWE, a heap of new talent emerged during that time. Future stars such as Randy Orton, John Cena and Batista all debuted following the name-change and were on the path to superstardom.

Another name in the list of new-blood during this time is Christopher Nowinski, who had debuted in WWE following receiving a contract after his efforts on Tough Enough the year prior.

Nowinski was never capitalized on as a talent and unfortunately never reached the peaks of superstar status as the rest. He retired from wrestling less than two years after his very first match, due to post-concussion syndrome he received following his second concussion.

10. Lita

Lita was one of the most popular women wrestlers of all time. During the Attitude Era, her alliance with the Hardy Boyz became an incredibly popular phenomenon, as she was as much a part of the group as the boys.

She received Steve Austin-like audience responses some weeks and was a former four-time Women’s Champion. She has main-evented Raw in a terrific match against Trish Stratus and is a WWE Hall-Of-Famer.

She retired in 2006, much like long-time rival Trish Stratus earlier that year, ending her career after seven years of wrestling. Presumably, her former neck problems may have contributed to this decision.
