5 Noteworthy Things From Extreme Rules 2018

Hulk Hogan Kane Roman Reigns Extreme Rules 2018

While fans didn’t have high expectations for Extreme Rules 2018, it did end up providing a few cool moments. Let’s take a look at 5 noteworthy things from the Extreme Rules 2018 PPV:

5. Bobby Lashley Says He’s The New ‘Big Dog’

Bobby Lashley defeated “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns clean in their first ever encounter last night at the Extreme Rules 2018 PPV. Lashley won the match by delivering a Spear.

Lashley then appeared on the Extreme Rules 2018 post show and talked about how he’s the new Big Dog after defeating Roman Reigns.

Lashley also talked about how he’s the new top star of RAW and he would like to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

4. Hulk Hogan’s Backstage Appearance Mentioned On-Air

As we noted last night, “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan was backstage at Extreme Rules and apologized to the wrestlers for the comments he made that led to his suspension.

He advised the wrestlers to think about what they are saying and a lot of people ended up shaking Hogan’s hand and hugging him in an emotional scene.

Below is what Hogan tweeted about it:

WWE’s Charly Caruso mentioned Hogan being backstage on the Extreme Rules 2018 Kickoff show. All we know by now is that the return of Hulk Hogan is near!

3. How Long Did The United States Championship Match Last?

Shinsuke Nakamura delivered a low-blow to Jeff Hardy before their United States Title match began and then Nakamura nailed a Kinshasa as soon as the bell rang and picked up the win to become the new United States Champion.

For those who are curious, the US Title match lasted for 6 seconds.

Jeff Hardy will get his rematch for the Title on this week’s SmackDown Live against Nakamura.

2. Randy Orton Is Now A Heel

13 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion “The Viper” Randy Orton returned to WWE programming on last night’s Extreme Rules 2018 PPV and turned heel.

Orton low-blowed Jeff Hardy and left without saying anything.

At least the fans are happy now that Orton is a heel now and that’s when he’s efficient. You can watch Orton attacking Hardy below:

1. Reason Behind Kane’s Injury Angle

WWE announced on their website after the Extreme Rules 2018 PPV that Old School WWF Legend Kane has suffered an ankle injury. Below is what WWE posted:

Kane suffers broken ankle

“At WWE Extreme Rules, Kane suffered an injury at the hands of The Bludgeon Brothers. Despite returning to action to help his Team Hell No tag team partner Daniel Bryan, X-rays taken on The Devil’s Favorite Demon later revealed that he has suffered a broken ankle.”

The reason behind WWE doing this injury angle is that Kane was injured heading into the PPV. Kane was seen wearing a ‘medical walking boot’ at a recent event and was limping.

No information available as of now regarding what this means for Kane’s WWE future.
