Not only did Jim Herd want Flair to cut his hair and change his Wrestling Name to ‘Spartacus’, he also wanted him to take a substantial pay cut.
So 2 weeks before the scheduled Title defense vs Luger at the WCW Great American Bash 1991 PPV, Herd and Flair had a major fallout and Flair was gone from the company with the World Title being vacant.
The only Problem? Flair still had the belt.
So he called Vince McMahon and said “I’m ready to come … and i got the belt too”
