2. Steve Austin v Kane – King of the Ring 1998
As we all know, King of the Ring 1998 is infamous for Mankind taking two huge plunges from the Hell in a Cell during his match with the Undertaker, however, there were plenty of other amazing matches on that show. The entire King of the Ring tournament was outstanding and the opening match was a cracker and the main event, specifically, was incredible.
Kane had arguably, his best match ever against the Texas Rattlesnake. They battled in a First Blood Match for the WWF Championship. It was a very intriguing contest, as Kane had almost no part of his body exposed, while Austin was practically naked. From start to finish the match was action packed, and the audience were treated once again as the Cell from an earlier match was constantly raised and lowered.
The end of the match came with Kane getting the victory, inadvertently thanks to his brother the Undertaker, and therefore the championship. Another amazing this about this match is the fact that after 15 minutes of Hell in that Cell, Mankind did a run-in to help Kane! Still boggles my mind today.
