Ziggler vs. Elias – SummerSlam 2018

Now during this feud, Elias is set to become a full-fledged babyface.

Now we have a hot crowd in Brooklyn for SummerSlam 2018 and the crowd is cheering for Elias big time.

During the ending moments of the match, Ziggler escapes out of Elias’ finisher and gets intentionally counted out to remain the IC Champion. While doing so, Ziggler builds up even more heat.

On the post-SummerSlam 2018 edition of RAW, General Manager Kurt Angle books a rematch between Ziggler & Elias for the Title in the main event of RAW.

Ziggler shows a strong side of him during this match and is giving Elias a run for his money. The action reaches outside the ring and into the seating area of the crowd. Ziggler nails a Zig-Zag on Elias on the concrete floor and Elias is out cold. Ziggler rushes to the ring and defeats Elias via count-out to retain the IC Title.

McIntyre comes out to celebrate the win with Ziggler and this leads to Kurt Angle making his way out as well. Angle isn’t satisfied with how Ziggler defeated Elias and books a Title rematch at the Hell in a Cell 2018 PPV and the match will be a “False Count Anywhere” match with McIntyre banned from ringside.

Ziggler’s “Falls Count Anywhere” Encounter With Elias

Hell in a Cell 2018 arrives and its time for the “False Count Anywhere” match for the IC Title.

Ziggler and Elias beat the hell out of each other and the action reaches the backstage area. McIntyre makes his presence felt at this point and he brutally attacks Elias.

Remember – McIntyre was only banned from “ringside”, so the referee can’t do anything about Drew appearing in the backstage area and this type of match doesn’t have any DQ either.

McIntyre & Ziggler hit their double team finisher on Elias and Ziggler pins Elias to retain the Title.
