TLC Rematch Set
Ziggler is furious with what happened at Super Show-Down and demands an explanation from Kurt Angle. Angle refuses to take any responsibility regarding what Shawn Michaels did and announces that Ziggler will get his rematch for the Intercontinental Title against Elias at TLC 2018 PPV and it will be a Tables match.
After this, Elias makes his first entrance as the Intercontinental Champion and mocks Ziggler.
However, the mockery doesn’t last long as McIntyre attacks Elias from behind. Ziggler joins the attack and they set up a Table in the corner inside the ring. Ziggler then hits a Zig-Zag on Elias through the table to send a strong message to the new Champion.
Ziggler Gets Toppled At TLC
TLC arrives and Ziggler & Elias are tearing each other apart. Ziggler sets up a Table on the outside and both are fighting on the apron. Ziggler is looking to hit a Famouser on Elias through the Table on the outside, but Elias catches him and powerbombs him through the table!
Elias wins the match and retains the Intercontinental Championship.
Ziggler Blames Angle For His Downfall
On the post-TLC 2018 edition of RAW, Ziggler calls out Kurt Angle and blames him for his downfall as Angle was the one who appointed Shawn Michaels as the Special Guest Referee at Super Show-Down.
Ziggler says Angle is the reason why he’s not the Intercontinental Champion anymore, but notes that he’s willing to forgive Angle if he awards him a Universal Championship match at the next PPV. Angle now agrees to Ziggler’s demand, BUT goes on to add a few stipulations.
First of all, Ziggler’s Universal Title match won’t be at the next PPV (which is Survivor Series 2018). Second, to get a shot at the Universal Championship, Ziggler will have to lead Team RAW to a victory over Team SmackDown Live at Survivor Series 2018.
Angle names Ziggler the Captain of Team RAW and Ziggler says he wants Drew McIntyre as one of the members in his team and Angle agrees.
