Angle Drops a Bombshell Regarding Ziggler’s Next Defense
An angry Kurt Angle appears the next night on RAW and talks about how he’s sick of Ziggler somehow finding an unfair way to retain his Title – but he has found a way to stop Ziggler from taking cheap shortcuts.
Angle books another Intercontinental Championship rematch between Ziggler and Elias for the “Super Show-Down” mega WWE Live Event in Australia.
Angle then bans McIntyre from the Super Show-Down event itself, which means Drew won’t even travel to Australia with the rest of the WWE crew. Angle then makes another announcement – To ensure Ziggler doesn’t pull any dirty tricks at Super Show-Down, he has appointed a Special Guest Referee for this match and it’s WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels!
It should be noted that WWE did advertise Shawn Michaels for Super Show-Down, so we’ve used him in this storyline.
Super Show-Down With Shawn Michaels
We’re in Australia now for the Super Show-Down event and it’s time for the Intercontinental Championship match.
During the match, Ziggler tries to pull dirty tricks like using Elias’s tights to pin him and using the ropes to pin Elias, but he’s not successful in his attempt because of special guest referee Shawn Michaels catching him.
Ziggler gets frustrated with Shawn in the end and shoves Michaels away. This results in HBK delivering a Sweet Chin Music to Ziggler to a big pop from the crowd. Elias then catches Ziggler and nails a Drift Away to get the win and capture the Intercontinental Championship!
