Ziggler Embarrasses Angle At Royal Rumble
Angle is getting ready for his match with Ziggler backstage at the Royal Rumble, and he gets attacked by Ziggler. Ziggler then smashes a steel chair on Angle’s right ankle and leaves while Angle is rolling on the floor in pain.
Angle is getting checked by the doctors and they don’t clear him to compete in his scheduled match. Angle says he’s the General Manager and if says the match will happen, then it will happen!
The match between Ziggler & Angle finally begins and Ziggler goes straight after Kurt’s injured ankle. Angle is left helpless in the ring as he can’t put any pressure on his ankle, so he can’t even stand and continue to fight.
After hitting Angle with tons of shots while Angle was down, Ziggler gets Angle up and hits him with a Zig-Zag! However, Ziggler doesn’t go for the pin as he has something else in his mind – Ziggler locks in the Angle Lock submission hold on Angle and Angle is forced to tap out to his own move!
Ziggler leaves Royal Rumble with a big smile on his face, while Kurt is left embarrassed in the ring and then gets helped to the back.
The Rematch
Angle kicks off RAW after Royal Rumble and comes out on crutches.
Angle says he will be a 100% by the Elimination Chamber 2018 PPV and then books a rematch between him & Ziggler at that PPV. Angle then announces that that rematch will be a No Holds Barred match.
Ziggler attacks Kurt out of nowhere after this announcement and uses Kurt’s crutches to injure Angle even more. Ziggler picks up the mic and says he’s going to end Angle’s career at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
