• Chris Jericho & Others Defend Jim Ross Over The “WWE Dynamite” Mistake
At the end of this week’s AEW Dynamite (tap here for complete results), All Elite Wrestling aired a video package of the best moments from the last 15 months of their programming (which didn’t have fans in full capacity).
After the video packaged ended, Jim Ross said the following on commentary:
“There’s nothing in your life that will top seeing a live WWE Dynamite.”
You can hear it yourself below:
After the show went of the air, the 2007 WWE Hall of Famer tweeted the following:
“Yep I apparently made an untimely error tonight at show’s end.
No excuses.
And I’m not quitting. 🤠 “

“Pointing out that small mistakes or no small mistakes, @JRsBBQ is the GREATEST wrestling commentator of all time.”

NWA World Tag Team Champion Aron Stevens (fka Damien Sandow in WWE) tweeted the following:
“Ok, @JRsBBQ is the greatest wrestling announcer ever. That needed to be said.”
A fan then replied the following to him:
“He is, nobody is doubting that. But it’s time. It happens to everybody. We will love him forever but it’s time to hang it up.”
Aron replied the following to the fan:
“Because of one mistake? Have you ever fumbled a sentence? Have you ever made a mistake in anything?”

Former WWE Head Writer Brian Gewirtz tweeted the following:
“People are seriously giving the greatest announcer of all time crap? @JRsBBQ can call Dynamite “Emmitt Otters Jugband Christmas” and it shouldn’t make a difference. My first day on the job I called Gerald Brisco “Jack” (he was Gerald’s brother). Now that’s a screw-up.”
