• CM Punk Reportedly Signed With AEW This Morning

As we have reported before, CM Punk is in talks with All Elite Wrestling, and that AEW Officials want to sign him before their All Out pay-per-view on September 5th, which will take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

The Wrestling Observer then reported WWE Officials believe that Punk has already signed with Tony Khan’s promotion:

“With Punk, a WWE source has said that internally the belief is that Punk has signed with AEW.

There are a number of things going on behind the scenes that would indicate that, but nobody in AEW has confirmed it, and of course, they won’t until the decision is made for them to go public with something of that magnitude.”

In an update to this, RingsideNews is now reporting that a source has told them that Punk signed his contract with AEW this morning, and that Punk is expected to appear on Dynamite every week.

He will also have control over his character in the company. No word yet on how often Punk will wrestle in AEW.
