• Kurt Angle Names The AEW Wrestler He Wants To Face
In a Q/A session on his Facebook page, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle was asked by a fan to name his dream opponent in AEW.
Below is what he replied:
“Rusev [now known as Miro]. Do I need to explain why? Olympic Hero vs The Bulgarian Brute. He’s an exceptional performer.”
Not only does Angle want to face Miro, but Miro has also wanted to face the Olympic Gold Medalist since his time in WWE.
In a Twitch stream, Miro said the following about him asking WWE to give him a match with Angle.
“I wanted to wrestle [Kurt Angle]. I talked to two people. I’m not going to say who they are, but I talked to two people and they are really high up there. I said, ‘How about we bring back Kurt? It’s going to be great.
One, he’s the greatest professional wrestler ever. Two, it’s USA coming back and I’m doing the Russian thing.’ Kurt would have been the perfect person, but they told me no. This is verbatim from the person that told me.
He said, ‘We don’t want to feel responsible if he comes back and dies.’ That’s from the person that told me. There were two people there. If one says I’m lying, hopefully the other will stand up and say it’s true.
In the end, he got that match with Corbin, but I always wanted to wrestle Kurt.”

Old School WWF Veteran The Berzerker (Real name: John Nord) celebrates his 61st birthday today.
After making a name for himself in Verne Gagne’s AWA and Fritz Von Erich’s WCCW as “Nord The Barbarian” (and later as “Yukon John”), John joined Vince McMahon’s WWF in 1991 as “The Viking”, but was soon renamed “The Berzerker”.
The Berzerker stayed with the World Wrestling Federation till 1993, then went to Japan, before he joined Ted Turner’s WCW in 1997 under his real name.
By far the most memorable scene of his WWF career was when he tried to attack and kill (kayfabe wise) The Undertaker with a sword.
