• Over 10 Names Fired From WWE After WrestleMania 41
WWE has let go of several employees in a new round of internal layoffs this week. According to PWInsider, the cuts were made across multiple departments, including Creative Services and Photography.
One of the most notable exits was Christine Lubrano, who was the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations. Lubrano had joined WWE in January 2021 and played a major role in managing the creative side of the company.
She was responsible for managing all strategic aspects of the company’s creative department. The creative teams for RAW, SmackDown, and NXT reported to both her and Bruce Prichard, with both ultimately reporting to WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H.
UPDATE: Identity Of Another Name That Got Released From WWE
WWE has not released an official comment about the layoffs, but the report said that between 10 and 12 people were let go so far. That number could increase.
There have been no cuts to the talent roster yet, but those often follow behind-the-scenes layoffs.

• WWE Has Revived Trademark For Top AEW Star
WWE has reinstated its trademark application for the name “Edge” after it was previously marked as abandoned. The original filing, submitted in November 2024, was deemed abandoned on April 22, 2025, due to WWE’s failure to respond to a Nonfinal Office Action issued on January 6, 2025, which required a response within three months.
On May 1, 2025, WWE filed a petition to revive the application, which the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) accepted. The USPTO stated that the application “has been REVIVED and will be forwarded to the appropriate section of the Office for further action” .
The trademark application covers “wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and via the Internet or commercial online services; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal.”
Adam Copeland, known as Edge during his WWE tenure, currently performs AEW under his real name and the nickname “Cope.” Despite his departure from WWE in 2023, the company appears intent on retaining the rights to the “Edge” name.
In a related development, WWE also revived its trademark application for “Tribal Chief,” a moniker associated with Roman Reigns. This application, initially filed in October 2024 and marked as abandoned in February 2025, was also revived on May 1, 2025.
