Vince McMahon's Top 5 Business Fails

3. WBF

In September 1990, Vince McMahon founded his own bodybuilding organization, the WBF – World Bodybuilding Federation, to compete with the long established IFBB – International Federation of BodyBuilders.

They had two championship events, one in 1991 and one in 1992, both won by Gary Strydom.

USA Network even aired their weekly TV Show WBF BodyStars in 1992.

Vince McMahon signed WCW Wrestler Lex Luger in early 1992, to have him compete on TV and give Wrestling fans a familiar face that would make them watch, but Luger got into a motorcycle accident before his first scheduled event.

Vince himself, aswell as Bobby Heenan and Mean Gene Okerlund were regulars on WBF BodyStars aswell.

Officially due to low ratings & PPV buys, but most likely due to the ongoing FBI Steroid Investigation against Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation, the WBF disbanded in July of 1992.
