During an interview with ESPN First Take, The Rock was asked about his rumored match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
The Great One had some very interesting comments:
“I’m a long gamer. I like to build. Something like this, what this is. If, myself and Roman Reigns, were to main event WrestleMania, and I mean this very respectfully of all the WrestleManias prior because I grew up in this business and I love it.
We could possibly put on, with us as the main event and this incredible group of men and women, we could possibly put on the greatest and biggest WrestleMania of all time.
There’s a chance. I love this business. I love pro wrestling. I love WWE. I also have this deep passion to grow it and build it. If we’re going to do something like this, I want the world to watch.”
After being appointed to the Board of Directors of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE and UFC, Rock tweeted the following:
“My Grandfather and my father helped build this table. Now I’m at the head of it.
Acknowledge me!”
During an interview with Sony Sports Network, former Bloodline member Jey Uso was asked about his thoughts on this dream match.
Here’s what Roman’s former Right Hand Man said:
“You know The Rock wanna be The Head of the Table, that’s money, right? That’s a match I think we all wanna watch, I wanna watch as a fan too. I just don’t think The Rock knows what he’s getting into.
When it comes to ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns, he’s got The Bloodline behind him. Rock has a big uphill battle, man. But yeah, we ready to see that.”
