6. Sharpshooter
Bret Hart wasn’t the first to use the submission hold otherwise known as the Scorpion Deathlock, but he was the best at it. “The Hitman” always hooked his opponents’ legs perfectly and leaned back as far as he could to make the move seem excruciating.
He would also frequently lock in the move from unusual positions, adding an air of unpredictability. Between its believability as a torturous hold and the countless wins Bret racked up with it, the Sharpshooter is arguably the greatest submission hold of all time.
