3. Randy Savage Elbow
In the 80s top rope finishers were considered weapons of mass destruction. If you landed a move off the top, that was the match. Randy Savage’s maneuver of choice was the flying elbowsmash, and he was so athletic and graceful the move took on an almost balletic quality.
Savage would soar halfway (or more) across the ring and for a few seconds seemed weightless. Of all the 1980s top rope moves, The Macho Man Elbow was simultaneously the most pleasing to the eye, and the most deadly. I still do this move into my pool every summer.
