5. Finn Balór’s Return To NXT

The Fiend Bray Wyatt beats Finn Balor at WWE SummerSlam 2019

Finn Balór had an amazing year. He started the year by giving Brock Lesnar a tough competition when the two locked horns in a Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble.

Balór went on to win the Intercontinental Championship against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 35.

However, things started going down hill for the former Universal Champion when he lost the Intercontinental Title to Shinsuke Nakamura at Extreme Rules. He soon became the first victim of “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and lost to him at SummerSlam.

He disappeared for a few months and made his surprise return to NXT in October. What was more surprising was that he returned as the “Prince”. Balór is back to being the bad guy and is now one of the top names in NXT.

4. Dean Ambrose Leaves WWE

Dean Ambrose shocked the WWE Universe by returning on the road to SummerSlam last year. Even though Ambrose did not compete in a match at SummerSlam last year, he was present ringside as Seth Rollins’ partner.

“The Unstable One” had a decent run in WWE last year, which was also his final run. We got to see some good matches when The Shield reunited last year.

Later that year, Ambrose turned heel and won the Intercontinental Championship from Seth Rollins.

Ambrose wasn’t happy with his run in WWE and decided to not re-sign with the company, and went on to leave after WrestleMania 35.
