2. Kofi Kingston Wins The WWE Championship
Kofi Kingston’s hard-work finally paid off after more than a decade in WWE. He got some opportunities at the start of his career but couldn’t reach the top. The current SmackDown Tag Team Champion worked most of his career in the mid-card.
His good fortune came after Mustafa Ali was given some bad news, as an injury kept him out of the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship. Kingston was named his replacement, and he went on to become perhaps the most popular Superstar in the company at that time.
His impressive performance in the Elimination Chamber match eventually earned him a one-on-one match against Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35, where he dethroned Bryan to win his first WWE Championship.
Kingston’s win was very shocking as no one had ever wondered that he would have his own WrestleMania moment one day.
