14. 1st Ever Women’s WrestleMania Main Event
For the past 34 years, WrestleMania was always headlined by the male wrestlers in WWE. This year, history was made. For the first time ever, WrestleMania was closed by a women’s match.
Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey battled in a Triple-Threat match for the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship. The Man had earned her ticket to the main event of “The Grandest Stage Of Them All” by winning the women’s Royal Rumble match back in January.
Lynch main eventing WrestleMania 35 skyrocketed her already successful career to becoming the face of WWE.
13. The Fiend’s Debut
Bray Wyatt was one of the Superstars who got lost in the shuffle last year. At the end of 2018, no one would’ve wondered that Wyatt would redeem himself in the following year.
Wyatt formed an alliance with Matt Hardy at WrestleMania 34 which lasted for a couple of months only. After that, he disappeared from WWE programming.
He returned in the summer of 2019 with his Firefly Fun House segments which led to the debut of The Fiend, which is arguably the best gimmick in WWE right now.
The Fiend’s gimmick helped him reach the top quickly and now he’s set to end 2019 as the #1 merchandise seller in the company and also the WWE Universal Champion.
12. Two New Universal Championship Title Belts
The Fiend defeated Seth Rollins in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel to win the Universal Championship.
With The Fiend winning the Universal Title and moving to SmackDown during the Draft, two new versions of the Universal Title debuted:
